inMold is an online planning tool for designing casting molds in an early phase of the offer preparation process. It was developed to simplify the complex planning and coordinating process between foundries, mold makers and designers. As a result it ensures faster access to well-founded offers for cost-effective production of the mold.

inMold gathers all planning-relevant functions in one smart platform. It is oriented towards tool planning, potential hotspots detection and optimization and productive communication between all parts involved. For example, foundries, mold makers and designers can use the platform to easily identify potential problems and possibilities, such as: where during the casting process may thermal problems arise, or whether a slight change in the form could result in high cost savings.

You can easily check vital perimeters like pourability, feed and pouring situation and thereby determine how to optimally design sliders, cores and other parts of the mold. In order to make the project agreements safer and more efficient, information obtained by inMold can be exchanged and documented directly via the platform (more in point 4).

The user-friendly architecture of inMold is based on the idea of ​​intelligently linking the relevant mold-planning tools and making them more accessible. It offers an easily learnable and effective workflow and other project-related, supporting features (link to product presentation). inMold enables goal-oriented and, above all, secure information management. The platform operates exclusively on German based servers and additionally encrypts your entire communication. Your cast part geometries are protected against unauthorized use since they cannot be downloaded and may only be processed on our platform. Additionally, all your project agreements are documented in a well-structured project history. This central form of communication avoids confusing side agreements (e.g. via email) and introduces a more comprehensible and binding manner of tasks communication and division.

Project agreements are complex enough even without agreeing on proprietary, software and hardware solutions. That’s why InMold relies on computing power from its own, secure cloud. Our web-based, to-go solution can therefore be used on all end devices without facing technical issues. It enables workshop-like usage and even allows the end customers to follow the mold planning process without specialist software knowledge or financial hurdles.

Cooperation via inMold works without license and software hurdles. In order to register, all you have to do is conclude a simple framework contract, which allows you to give all project partners access to your project via InMold online platform. This way you don't have to agree on particular (and expensive) software and license solutions every time you establish a new project, but instead start right away according to the principle: one platform, one license.
